Forming a habit is difficult? Not really. Remember in high school when you tried smoking for the first time and soon became addicted? Was it difficult? No. Even if it was, you still got addicted. why? because you thought it’s cool. So, if you can get addicted to smoking and drinking then you can also easily develop healthy habits.
Here is a list of things, prioritized in order, that can make you a fabulous person if practiced religiously.
1.) Exercise, eat Right and Track your Health
This has to be on top because what’s more important than being alive and fit. Eat healthily or least eat consciously, if you are eating junk you should know what it’s going to do to your body later, Know your food before you gulp it. Remember Amy’s advice to joey ‘A moment on lips, forever on Hips’ (any Friends fan ? ;))
Go for a regular check-up. In fact, I would suggest whenever you feel sad whatever may be the reason, your Girlfriend/Boyfriend dumps you, your boss is mean to you, You lost your job, your business is going into losses, go get a health check-up done and see if your Lungs and kidney are working properly, your cholesterol under control and hemoglobin is within normal range and if it is then cheers !! Everything in life can be fixed as long as you are fit.
Trust me nothing looks cooler than being at the best of your health physically and mentally.
2.) Develop a passion
You should have a passion in life and it should not be ‘Eating’, or ‘going to Gym’. Get out of your comfort zone and explore different options until you find a job that keeps you motivated all the time. Nothing looks more attractive than a person who is really passionate about something, it makes your character.
How sexy do you think Virat Kohli is if you take out cricket from his life? Imagine him as a regular guy sitting beside your cubicle, would you still be going mad over him?
3.) Learn to Empathize
It has taken us ages to evolve from apes to the modern human that we are right now, It’s high time that we shed our imaginary horns. It’s a fashion these days especially among youths to be rude and abusive with people hiding under the tag of being savage.
4.) Start judging a book by it’s cover
Start judging a book by it’s cover because how else are you gonna figure out if you want to read it or not? Time is precious and you must not waste a month only to realize that it was a wrong pick. Learn the technique of shortlisting books( read people). Trust me, It the author really cares he will make interesting covers.
5.) Learn Meditation: It very important to have a healthy mind to conduct oneself gracefully and meditation is the way to do that. Trust me you will go insane after a certain age if you do not take out some time for mental exercise.
